Rival and Revival
Sam DeSocio | 4/27/26 | Acts 19:21-42
What do you do when a message starts threatening the life you've built? In Acts 19, a silversmith named Demetrius starts a riot in Ephesus because Paul's preaching is bad for business. The crowd chants for two hours. The city is in chaos. And underneath all the noise is a question that still hits home today: what are you holding so tightly that you'd fight to protect it? This sermon explores why the Christian message creates friction, why hostility toward Jesus is sometimes a backhanded compliment to the gospel, and why the deepest good news is that Jesus has already fought the fight that matters most for you.
