Frequently Asked Questions

We believe that knowing each person by name helps us create a more welcoming and connected church family. Check-in allows us to welcome you personally, ensure we have emergency contact information (especially for children), follow up with pastoral care when needed, and build meaningful relationships within our congregation. Your information is kept secure and used only to enhance your worship experience.
We encourage regular check-in because it helps our pastoral team and ministry leaders better connect with you throughout the week. However, you're always welcome at Good News Church whether you check in or not. We understand that some mornings are rushed, and we're just glad you're here to worship with us!
Absolutely! While name tags help us get to know each other and foster conversations, your comfort is our priority. You're fully welcome to participate in worship and fellowship without wearing a name tag. We respect your preferences and are simply grateful for your presence.
After your first visit, the system will remember your family members, making it easy to check everyone in together. Simply enter your mobile number at the iPad station, and you'll be able to select all family members who are present. For first-time families, the initial setup may take a few extra minutes, but our friendly Welcome team members are always ready to walk you through the process and ensure your children are properly checked into our kids' programs.
We collect basic contact information (name, phone number, email) and any specific needs or prayer requests you choose to share. For children, we also gather emergency contact information and any allergies or special needs. All information is stored securely in our church management system and is accessible only to authorized church staff and leaders. We never share your information with outside organizations.
Our Welcome team is here to help! Look for anyone wearing a "Welcome Team" name tag – they're stationed throughout our building and are always happy to assist. Whether you're having trouble with the technology or simply have questions about our church, they're ready to serve you with a smile.
Of course! While check-in helps us serve you better, you're always welcome at Good News Church regardless. We believe that gathering to worship God together is what matters most. The check-in system is simply a tool to help us build community – it's never a barrier to worship.
We completely understand and respect your privacy concerns. Please feel free to speak with any of our pastors or staff members about your specific concerns. We're happy to explain our privacy practices in detail or work with you to find a comfortable solution. Your trust is important to us, and we want you to feel secure in our church family.
No problem at all! Our Welcome team remains available throughout the service to help late arrivals check in quietly. If you prefer, you can also slip into the service without checking in and connect with us afterward. We know that Sunday mornings with families can be unpredictable, and we're just happy you made it!
